Technology is changing, which reflects on the capabilities of cash registers. For example, the new models can send information to the NRA from each note at the time of sale, while those introduced seven years ago do it once a day or every 15 days. This frequency does not guarantee effective control. This is what the manager of “Eltrade” Nikolay Prodanov said in the studio of the morning block of “Darik Radio” in response to the host’s question “why do we need to constantly change cash registers”.
With the amendments to Ordinance H-18 on registration and reporting of sales in retail outlets through fiscal devices, the rules for control are improved, which leads to better tax collection, respectively more money for education, healthcare and other important sectors for society, Prodanov stressed. According to him, the possibility of abuse is significantly reduced, because the real-time sending of information to the NRA makes it impossible to manipulate it.
When asked whether the ingenuity of the Bulgarian will find new workarounds, Prodanov replied that it is a process – we plug a loophole, a new one appears, eliminate it, and so on step by step until the system becomes reliable enough.
