The auto parts plant of the German company Kostal, which was officially opened in the middle of last year in Pazardzhik, is already working with the pre-order system of Eltrade, designed for the needs of canteen catering. Developed as a module to the commercial software “Detelina”, it was implemented in the enterprise at the request of the catering company “Party Food”, which organizes the feeding of the employees in the factory – 1300 in number to date.
Two pre-order terminals are placed in the canteen, with employees choosing a menu for the week ahead after checking their card. In this case, the company takes 90% of the cost of the food, the remaining 10% is deducted from the salaries of the staff.
At the request of the client, software is being developed to track the orders of each employee, which will be sequentially visualized on a large screen in the canteen. In the absence of a paper coupon, the goal is for the diners to have the opportunity to remember what they have chosen for the respective day. The customer is also considering installing more monitors in the production halls so that workers do not have to queue to order.
One of the reasons for the introduction of the system, along with convenience and faster service, is the replacement of paper coupons with electronic ones, which is part of the company’s corporate policy for environmental protection.
The subsidiary of the German holding company Kostal entered the Bulgarian market in 2011 when it opened a plant in Smolyan. The production of the two plants is exported to most of the largest auto giants in Europe such as Volkswagen, Renault Nissan, BMW, Daimler, Ford, etc.
